NOW, THIS IS KIND OF A BUTTERFLY HOOD, SO LET’S JUST LIFT THE BACK AND THE FRONT ABOUT THE SAME TIME, ARE YOU CLEAR ? IT’S NOT HEAVY, BUT IT’S BULKY LABEL AND DETACH THE HEADLIGHT WIRES THEN, REMOVE THE FENDER SPLASH SHIELD BOLTS WITH SOME MANEUVERING, THE SHIELD CAN BE REMOVED CONTINUE FREEING UP THE CLIP BY REMOVING THE FENDER BRACE RODS REMOVE THE FENDER-TO-BODY BOLTS, LEAVING ONE BOLT ON EACH SIDE TO KEEP THE CLIP STEADY UNTIL IT’S ON THE HOIST I DRAIN THE RADIATOR, SINCE WE’RE GOING TO REMOVE IT WITH THE FRONT CLIP NOW, THIS IS THE THERMOSTATIC RADIATOR SHUTTER CONTROL THIS IS THE WAY PACKARD REGULATED ITS ENGINE TEMPERATURE WHEN THE CAR IS COLD, THESE SHUTTERS ARE CLOSED
